About CalcSlate
CalcSlate builds free, fast calculators that give you an answer without a signup wall, an email capture, or a sales call. Every tool runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is sent to a server or stored.
How these calculators are built
Each calculator starts from a specific question people actually search for. We write the formula out in the page so you can check our arithmetic rather than trusting a black box, and we state our assumptions where a calculation depends on them.
Where a tool relies on external figures — fee schedules, tax rates, published standards — we link the primary source at the bottom of the page and record the date the page was last reviewed. Rates change; a calculator that does not tell you when it was last checked is not one you should rely on.
What we do not do
- We do not collect the numbers you enter. Calculations happen locally in your browser.
- We do not require an account to see a result.
- We do not give financial, tax, or legal advice. These are estimation tools.
Corrections
If a calculation looks wrong, we want to know. Tell us which tool, what you entered, and what you expected, and we will check it and publish a correction with an updated review date.
