Terms of Use

Last updated: August 27, 2026

By using https://calcslate.com you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short, because this is a free reference site with no accounts and nothing to buy.

The calculators are estimates

Every tool on this site produces an estimate. The formulas are standard and we test them, but results depend entirely on the figures you enter and on assumptions that may not fit your situation.

Nothing here is financial, tax, legal, engineering, or professional advice, and using a calculator does not create a professional relationship of any kind. Rates, fees, tax thresholds, and building codes change — often annually, sometimes mid-year — and a page may not yet reflect the latest revision.

Verify any figure against the relevant official source, and consult a qualified professional, before acting on it. This matters most for anything involving money you cannot afford to lose, a tax filing, or work that must satisfy a building inspector.

No warranty

This site is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that any calculation is correct or that the site will be available at any given time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CalcSlate and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on any result it produces, including lost profits, miscalculated tax, rejected work, or wasted materials.

Acceptable use

You may use these calculators freely, for personal or commercial purposes. You may not:

Linking to any page here is welcome and requires no permission.

Intellectual property

The written explanations, page layouts, and code on this site are our own work. Formulas and published rates — tax rates, marketplace fee schedules, building code limits — are facts and belong to no one. Where a figure comes from an official source, that source is cited on the page.

Third-party links and advertising

Pages link to official sources and display advertising served by third parties. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. Advertising is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the date above will change when they are. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
